This month, Nike launched an awesome new podcast - The Fenom Effect - an interview series featuring women athletes who inspire others on topics like equality, representation, leadership, and confidence. I am excited for these discussions & honored to be featured in Episode 1.

What I loved most about soccer was being a teammate to women and a leader of women. In my episode, we talk about what I learned playing alongside my idol, Mia Hamm, and how I grew into my leadership role. I know from my career that when you’re new at anything—when you don’t know what to do or how to begin—all you can do is show up, be yourself, be confident in your skills, and give it everything you have unapologetically. Mia taught me that. And I tried my best to pass that along to Alex Morgan, who also taught me a thing or two.
In this episode, Mia, Alex and I talk also about how we have fought for equality and representation in our sport.
