The best thing happened to me 23 years ago, an accident that may have labelled me disabled but never held me back. Here I am first day back at daycare after my accident, I was straight to the top of the jungle-gym. I am constantly striving to be at the top, currently mid journey swimming to my fourth Paralympic games. Being disabled has opened my eyes to the world and the disabled community, along with presenting so many opportunities for me willing to grab. Yet, I’m just “another” girl in this world chasing her dreams and goals. Yes I’m disabled but I don’t let my disability define me! ?
