✨4 reasons to think twice before being influenced by all the Xmas ads and buying something (especially during the holiday season ?): • Climate change is real
• Ressources aren’t endless
• Waste is a major cause of pollution
• Human rights and environment are not respected by big international companies ( Zara, H&M, Beauty Brands, Top Shop, Nike, LVMH, Nespresso, Nestle, Walmart, Johnson & Johnson...and about hundreds of thousands other brands...). ✨ Don’t forget these companies NEED YOU to WANT MORE to make profit.
And to make you want more, they need you to FEEL LESS. So they are spending millions in commercials and social media ads.
They use social and social media conditioning, to program us : “to be sexy, you must look like this”, “to be cool, you need these shoes”, “to be smart, you need our products...”. Don’t be fooled by influencers and ads on social media. They need you. You don’t need them. ( that’s the good news! ?) Here are a few tips : • Turn off your notifications. • Don’t support a system trying to make you feel bad about yourselves. • Don’t like their posts advertising products not aligned with your values.
• Don’t let them get into your life and manipulate your needs.
We are not passive participants in this billion dollars industry. We are the lead parts, the recurring roles... We are active citizens! ✨ Good news: ✨
We vote with our wallets. EVERYDAY. And we can choose what kind of future we want to pay for!
