If you’ve seen my film @stayhumanfilm then you’ve witnessed the inspiring story of Steve and Hope Dezember. Steve is battling ALS a horrible disease, which slowly robs a person of their mobility - one day you wake up and your finger doesn’t work, then your hand, arms, legs, face etc. until it eventually takes your life. 6 years ago Steve was given a 3-5 year life expectancy! His wife Hope has been there every step of the journey - they got engaged soon after they found out he had it. Their love is as inspiring as their tenacity and fire. They watched the film last night and cried through most of it and were moved by the many other stories of inspiring people in it. Steve is unable to get out of the house, or bed for that matter and could not see the film in the theater where people laugh, cry, cheer and have their lives changed by their story. I wish they were able to feel how moved people are by their lives. Hope tells me Steve is going through a particularly challenging time, so I thought it would be great if we could let them both know how they’ve inspired you if you saw the film or just send them a message of love and encouragement. They were also the people who inspired @Saraagahfranti and I to start our non profit @doitforthelove to bring people with advanced stages of life threatening illness, children with severe challenges and wounded veterans to see any live concert by any artist in any city. They were the first family who inspired the idea and since then we’ve sent over 8k people to see concerts!
