If our actions don’t reflect our highest values then we need to change our actions. We’ve done it before, we can do it again. Meaning: human history is filled with things that were legal and/or traditional, but also deeply wrong. I would posit that torturing and killing 100 Billion animals every year, and in the process decimating human health and the only home we have, would fall into that category. Let your actions reflect your values.
