❤️My heart is full today. I’m so grateful for my 3 children, my friends my family, and for the life on which I’m reflecting on this Thanksgiving Day... Lyme Disease brought my life to an abrupt halt, and when it did, I was at a loss for words.
I was scared and confused about the future with a disease that has no cure. The thought that I might one day make it to the other side was an abstract concept.
While battling an invisible disease forced me to endure the skepticism of my critics, it also opened my heart to the richness of compassion from my loved ones in the process. It’s from that love that I rebuilt the strength to write my story. Seeing it grace the list of 100 “Best memoirs of all time” is among the greatest privileges of my life as it confirms that there was a higher purpose to my journey. #GodIsGood #HappyThanksgiving #BelieveMe
