Happy Thanksgiving to our fans in the US! When turkeys are young (called turkeylings) they actually have the ability to fly short distances, perch, and roost. But as they get older, these behaviors go away. This doesn’t stop adult turkey’s from scaling objects, though. These highly social birds have been known to climb on top of things, like bales of hay.
