A while back me and Sam Gray wrote this song in a bedroom in Dalston, London. I had so much shit going on inside that I needed to get out, and this song pretty much helped me do that. I was touring non stop, was being sent left and right, so much happening, and I was going through a low point. So getting back into the studio was important therapy for me. Before the magician remixed it, this is how it sounded straight off the laptop. We spent most the day talking and drinking. We didn’t start recording it till around midnight. ‘Tied Up’ said what I wanted to say about a relationship. This audio is the pure original demo. Just me and a piano. No beats. No bass. No bells.
