Don’t believe I know anyone not affected by often devastating mental health issues. I am honoured to have a big brother not only tremendously talented and generous and charismatic and yes, unconventional and the opposite of straightforward, but most of all; courageous enough to accept help. Nobody likes asking for help. .
I didn’t know if he would let me in but I took the train anyway, and he did, and it’s not easy when your life is exploding and you’re imploding all at once and you feel like a burden. But as much as nobody likes to ask for help, everybody likes to help if they are able. So I’m grateful because if by being let in I am able to help, it makes me feel very lucky. And I want to remind myself that next time I need help I will ask. And next time I have to drop everything & get on a train to see if I can help, I’ll do it. Family is ♥️ thanks to @crisis_uk for all your support and to @sheltercharity for all you do for the underrepresented ?? #mentalhealth
