What would Wonder Woman say about justice today? Ask G. Willow Wilson, her new writer. In a charged cultural moment in which women are successfully running for office in greater numbers, exposing inequity and speaking out against the everyday violence they face, writing the most prominent female superhero in the canon carries weight. @dccomics tapped Wilson, an author already highly regarded among comics fans for co-creating the #Marvel character Kamala Khan, to take on the task. On taking on such an iconic character, Wilson says the real challenge is “to keep them fresh, keep them relevant and, at the same time, honor that history that has meant so much to so many people.” The first issue of her #WonderWoman “Just War” arc is out this week. @kjphotos1022 took this photo of Wilson.
