This guy.
He’s been going with me early mornings to drop donations to shelters and the temporary homes of evacuees.
It’s magical to watch him interact with people.
People that might not even want to smile, find themselves laughing and softening when he stares at them in that knowing anticipation that they will soon begin to open their hearts a little wider than they had just a moment before ... and simply let go, for now.

I wish that for all of us ...
To be in the knowing anticipation of opening our own hearts a little wider, to take that breath a little deeper ... to feel the love and gentleness we came here to be - that is so often misdirected by fear and judgement.

As I write this ... Jack is climbing into laps ... giving kisses with his terrible old man dog breath ... and eventually, he will hump their arm or leg proving that they are indeed, a magnificent beacon of love. ?
