In my many years as a #hairdresser, I’ve seen so many #trends come and go, only to resurface again years later in a new and exciting way. As we looked back through the flyers I created for my Europa Demos, I noticed that the same lived-in and redone textures that are at the height of trends now are just updated versions of what we were doing in the early 90s! Even the techniques to achieve these looks are reissued movements from the past... this season, instead of scrunching (80s and early 90s), we are now building “crinkled” textures with hands and a diffuser. It’s simply building upon what we discovered over 20 years ago so that it fits in the current era.⠀

It is so important to dig into our history my friends! Not to replicate it, but to be inspired by it and to feel a connection to the rich heritage that underlies our industry.⠀
