Athlete, model, actress and world renowned speaker. It is by no coincidence that the amazing @aimeemullins is regarded as one of the most extraordinary women to grace this earth. Her image that I created for Dazed 1998 shone a light on an up-to-then dismissed beauty of the richness in the diversity of the human form .
Aimée’s legs were amputated from the knee down on her first birthday as her lower leg bones had not formed .
Aimeé has always considered her physicality as a positive to go further and achieve more . Not as a disability but an ability . To this day, she continues to positively impact the lives of women across the world, giving a voice to people with prosthetics. Naturally, @petralunenburg was honoured to be appointed by curator @bexcassie to depict the momentous photograph for our '100 Women' exhibition.
