This is a picture of me standing on the ledge of my childhood home. I just found out it is no longer standing. For 17 years this home carefully crafted the woman I am today. It will forever hold the memories of a crazy hippie kid with lots of imaginary friends dancing around in the woods, staring out at the sea without a care in the world. It made its mark on my heart and I put my handprints in its earth. My heart hurts thinking about all of the people that lost homes and loved ones. I am beyond grateful for the fire fighters and the community of Malibu who are still out there defending this beautiful place that I will forever call home. ?
