I wanted to send a video of him to grandma. He just wanted to say “cheese”. And the way he looked up towards the ceiling and held a pose. ? ??‍♀️ What in the world?? I’ve never seen this from him before. ? Ha!

This short clip pretty much represents life with kids. Mom has her plans or ideas, and kid has his— and the two don’t always mesh. Sometimes its challenging and frustrating, but other times it’s downright amusing and I have to work hard to keep from busting out laughing at a behavior I don’t condone.

Lol! Obviously, as parents, we must be careful of exacerbating our kids through excessive demands or expectations. They are their own little person! But likewise, we want our kids to choose to be sweet and cordial, and not have the 3-yr-old shouting “no” when the parental suggestion happens to be a good idea. We’re still working on the balance. ??

However, my main point here is to appreciate the fact that God gives us the ability to see humor in our daily circumstances. Laughter definitely plays its part in keeping us close, and in melting away frustrations. ?
