We journeyed through breathtaking landscapes in search of orcas and passed through this region of fjords. Studies have found that fjords are effective carbon sinks, and store carbon faster than other marine ecosystems. This region is at risk from potential oil exploitation, which would affect the lifecycle of this ecosystem and its wildlife.
