Release of a rehabilitated injured blue penguin adult back to the sea. The penguin had sustained a significant head wound from freeing itself from plastic netting.

?The penguin’s group was not around, as it was post breeding season and adults like this forage at sea on their own, they are solitary. ?The blue penguin is the smallest penguin species in the world, it is as big as it will ever get. ?It was released where it was found, and was observed for an hour post-release. It swam strongly and far out to sea.
