My heart is hurting for the loss in California today. I’ve ridden out more than one hurricane back in my home town in coastal North Carolina. I’ve watched barn roofs get ripped off and trees fall on pickup trucks. But seeing video of essentially a fire hurricane ripping through a place so many people love is terrifying. I see that and I feel it deeply, right in the middle of me.

I know what it feels like to pour your heart into a home. To build a place that you love. Not even a decade ago where my home now stands in Nashville was completely underwater. I see your pain, your loss, and I feel it too.
