One of my first big trips was at 10 years old, and the most unbelievable experience. Africa, oh Africa, there is still so much more that I need to explore of you, but I did get a chance to take a bit of a tour. Something I will never forget on that trip was when my family and I visited a Masai village in Tanzania that we had sent money to to help them build a well. As a thank you they threw us a traditional celebration. They dressed us up in their traditional clothing, we danced, ate, and learned about the lives and culture of their people. The one thing I will never forget from that trip is when they killed a cow for the celebration and gave us a ceremonial concoction of milk and cows blood to drink. Not the tastiest of drinks, but hey, it was an experience! Definitely one of the coolest experiences of all of my travels✈️
