Dearest friends,
The time has come ⚡⚡⚡
John Lunn and I are very excited to announce the release of the soundtrack that has been living with us for the past 3 years.
It’s been a fantastic creative journey and we have had TONS of fun putting this @thelastkingdom soundtrack together (link in bio!!!!).
Working with John is always so natural and organic. When writing a piece of music for a specific scene, he usually sends me ideas originated from analogue synths or Lyre (cool old instrument) and I send him some improvisations which we then shape and mold into a more structured piece. Many of these things would be impossible for us to recreate because it’s simply something that only happens in the moment.
In our process of choosing the tracks, we took the freedom to re-construct some of these musical moments into longer segments so they could stand stronger on their own without the visuals, as well as adding words to turn these segments into proper songs, with great help from author Marjun Syderbø Kjælnes.
We hope you find something in there that will shake up your core and move your heart strings one way or another ❤️
