Last night was an emotional rollercoaster, but one thing is for sure: WOMEN WIN. We broke a new record of women elected — 100 congresswomen will be serving in the House next year, smashing the previous record of 85. And that wasn’t the only record we broke.

Ayanna Pressley became the first black House member from Massachusetts. Sharice Davids became the first Native American and first lesbian congresswoman from Kansas. New York’s Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez became the youngest woman ever elected to Congress. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib became our country’s first Muslim congresswomen. And the list goes on.
