We are shooting “Nuno-Zori” in Otari village, Nagano Prefecture today. Nuno-Zori is slippers which are made from clothes. The original was straw sandals but straw is too hard for wearing with the spread of shoes . So they changed straw to clothes and wear these in the room as slippers. It is soft and comfortable. You can experience that making Nuno-Zori here.
