Throughout my entire skating career so many people have asked me if I ever get tired of skating, and after all the injuries and sacrificing so much - is it worth it? My answer? Yes. It always will be. I skate for the true love I have for the sport.
There have been times when I've been disappointed, completely heartbroken even, times when even after years of grueling training, early mornings, and all the blood, sweat and tears, I wasn't able to achieve the result I wanted. I still remember all those days of feeling so sore that I could barely walk up the stairs. But I think for myself, and for most figure skaters (or any athlete for that matter), we don't have a single regret. Every moment and experience - whether good or bad - is something I've cherished and learned from, and will continue to do so. Regardless of any outcome, I've loved every moment. Even the most frustrating days, because it ultimately led to me being able to do something I love for a country that I love. Every performance was special, and I can only be grateful. Figure skating has been undoubtedly worth it. I have found something I truly love to do; and skating will always have a special place in my heart no matter where I am in life. I hope you all can find something you love to do too. Thank you to everyone who has supported me through my ups and downs, it means the world to me. I'm blessed. Good luck everyone. I'm excited for this season and more to come, and I can't wait to skate for you guys again. xx
