Congrats, Ciara Sivels! ? She's the first black woman to earn a doctoral degree in nuclear engineering from the University of Michigan, the top program in the country. The road wasn’t always easy for Sivels, but she had "lots of people" who helped her. ? In a few weeks, Sivels plans to move to Baltimore to work at Johns Hopkins University’s applied physics lab, and she ultimately wants to pursue a career in academia. Best of luck!
