I had such an incredible time with the Yuma Heat swim team and @mistyfly23
From the wonderful welcome dinner to an all day fun in the sun swim clinic, this group of kids has something special! I absolutely love working swim clinics with the youth of our sport. They are our future and the future is so bright! To be a part of their story just for a day is very special. Thank you @heatswims for having Misty and I over to give back to the sport and share some wisdom with your swimmers, you’ve got some future stars! ? ? .

To be able to share with young athletes the immense possibilities that could be before them if they learn to believe in themselves and create a strong work ethic is priceless. A lot of potential is recognized by parents and coaches but if I made a spark in just one child to have them realize their own potential and help them to give themselves permission to be the best they can possibly be...it’s all the better❤️.

@mistyfly23 ‘s speech inspired me into another healthy motivating thought process: to know I, and everyone else, can do incredible things if we “give ourselves permission to be great!” Is a powerful message!

Being a @riseathletes Mentor (mental coach for young athletes) has shown me time and time again how important it is do work on your head space. A healthy and determined mind can overcome and power through so many struggles that might slow us down. If the problems are in our head, there are ways to defeat them! .
