The Magnum Square Print Sale is officially back! This years theme is ‘FREEDOM’. Inspired by the 50th anniversary of 1968, the images included in the sale explore the meaning of freedom today, and the limits and unintended consequences of its pursuit. The project spans the 20th and 21st centuries through 78 classic and contemporary photographs by Magnum’s photographers and estates. Here are some words from Bruce. “From 1961 to 1965, I bore witness to various demonstrations in the civil rights movement. In this photograph, a group of civil rights demonstrators march from Selma to Montgomery to fight for the right to vote. Freedom was then, as it remains today, something that had to be fought for.” The sale went live this morning and takes place until 6pm EST on Friday June 8th. Link in Bio. USA.
