BOY ERASED starts it’s release tomorrow. It’s out in NY, LA, and SF and then slowly rolls out elsewhere over the next few weeks. My heart breaks for every person who has been through/will go through conversion therapy. It’s damaging, hurtful, traumatic, and has been proven to be ineffective (of course). It leads to depression, anxiety, and often suicide, and is rooted in the belief that there is something to fix in LGBTQ people in the first place. Lastly, it’s STILL COMPLETELY LEGAL in 36 states across America. Let’s change that through education. @gayrodcon bravely shared his lived story so that no one else lives it in the future. Take your parents to go see this movie, take your friends parents, your grandparents.. Let’s move towards 50 bills in 50 states that protect our youth from conversion therapy and make a real change.
