Another fab week spent at @prestigebootcamp & I’ve noticed when I talk about Bootcamp’s or when they’re mentioned in the press there’s often a stigma attached which to me is ridiculous! So as my time here is drawing to a close I thought I’d take this opportunity to dispel a couple of naughty Bootcamp myths! Myth number 1: - Everyone is going to be super skinny & really fit and I’m not going to be able to keep up. WRONGGG! At prestige there are people of all different shapes, sizes, walks of life, ages & fitness levels. That’s one of the reasons it’s so great- you meet people you wouldn’t normally & all bond so quickly as you have a shared goal! The level of camaraderie you experience, especially in such a short space of time is really special! We all cheer each other on, while pushing ourselves to reach our individual goals! Myth 2: - I’ll be starving. They don’t feed you! INCORRECT AGAINNN! Firstly, & I hate to sound like your nanna here but, there are children starving in sub-Sahara Africa- you are not starving. ??‍♀️ Secondly I have never once felt hungry here. Do I want Doritos?! Hell yes!! Do I miss haribos?! TOO RIGHT!! Could I wallop a stuffed crust pepperoni passion?! ALL DAY EEERRRRDAY BRO!!! But those are cravings, that is the naughty part of my brain demanding rascal treats that don’t hold any nutritional value- not hunger! You eat 3 meals a day here and 2 snacks! Basically, you never stop bloody eating! ?? And they are not only delicious & crazy healthy but the variety ensures that you are never bored & there’s something for everyone! Myth 3: - it’s all well and good losing weight there but I’ll pile it all in as soon as I leave. ERM.. UNTRUE! So, typically in a week I will lose between 7-12 pound in a week here. That is subjective to each individual- but I am talking about me & my experiences! I do not gain all the weight that I lost back- yeah, if you leave here & start mainlining blue wkds & face planting nachos and diary milk- you are going to gain weight- duuurrrr! That’s obvious logic guys! However if you apply the things you’ve learnt & the discipline you’ll be fine. Also there’s much more to prestige than weight loss.
