Being on a train through France always makes me fantasize about my life in one of these small towns in the countryside. Last couple of days I’ve noticed such a different culture in the way of community. We took notice of young and old people all sitting around actually talking to one another. Simply laughing sharing food or a smoke and sharing life. There was not a single phone out. There were even students all drinking wine on the steps near a fountain playing guitar and chatting. Not one was taking a selfie to gain more followers and grab some likes . I looked around at the buildings, all respectfully cared for to preserve history. Art in this culture is cherished, In many forms, especially the food. They chatted and talked in sidewalk cafes for the days I was there each night until at least 3 AM. We have lost something in our country, the care for one another. To TRULY listen and TRULY talk to one another. We are going on a very dangerous and very sad direction and I’m not sure if we can change at this point. We have become so addicted to IT ALL even our own image. It’s frightening to me. When you lose touch with being HUMAN and humanity we ALL lose. Just a reminder #maynevercomeback #simplethings
