Had to pay a visit to one of the top protest spots in our nation. #WashingtonSquarePark in #NYC has a loooong history of celebrating #nonconformity. But it started with a dark history. “Half-freed” slaves, an indigent burial ground, and a “hanging tree.” It serves as a constant reminder that we NEED TO PROGRESS. We need to do better! And just over a hundred years ago, it transformed into a public space for speaking out against the discrimination of those pushed to the edges. A place to stand-up and fight against #inequality. I’m choosing to have my voice heard by going into the voting booth on 11/6 ✊? I’m going to fight for the issues that are important to me by choosing my representatives and then holding them accountable.
