Why is this blue spiny lizard belly-up? Turns out even lizards can’t resist a good belly rub. Various desert lizards can actually be put into a trance by having their abdomens rubbed! You aren’t likely to see this behavior out in the wild as lizards must remain alert and ready to dart off should a predator lay eyes on them. The @tulsazoo is currently home to six blue spiny lizards, all of which were born in 2011. #lizard
