Paige Carnes, Former Jane Doe. ❤️ Receiving the @unitednations @girlupcampaign #GirlHero Award on Sunday wouldn’t have been complete without being able to meet Paige and her father in person. Last month, Paige stepped out in front of the Jane Doe title and, in doing so, undoubtedly inspired so many other survivors around the world. In her statement (which you can read again if you swipe through), Paige said she felt all of the support on social media. I think it’s important to hear how much positivity we have all generated together. We can’t depend on the people at the top to fix the problems, because they’re part of the problem.
