Refreshing time away catching up with my brother in PNG and spending time with the people of Tuke Village. Awesome waterfalls, rainforest and hospitality! It was sad to see the extensive loss of rainforest to oil palm and logging - but life is hard in these parts and this is the fate of much of our remaining wild areas if we can’t find ways to, as EO Wilson puts it, as a global community work to “raise people everywhere to a decent standard of living while preserving as much of the rest of life as possible."
