Dr. Paulin Banguti is the director of the postgraduate anesthesia program at the University of Rwanda. He says the 17 Rwandan surgical residents represent a brighter future for Rwandan citizens who need life-saving surgery. He hopes to have 60 active anesthesiologists practicing in the country by 2024.

The future of reconstructive plastic surgery in Rwanda is looking brighter than ever. With help from our partner @operationsmilesvierge we will establish the country’s first-ever postgraduate reconstructive plastic surgery certification program in partnership with the University of Rwanda and the ministries of education and health.
