This list has been so helpful to me lately and felt especially right to share today as it is #worldmentalhealthday As much as I have fully embraced and enjoy the world of social media for sharing my creativity, I also struggle with it often. It can sometimes feel like it has become a mechanism used solely to define my net worth as an artist. Having your passion and artistic contribution to the world reduced to a dollar sign alone can be demoralizing to say the least. As much as I enjoy and utilize it, this most modern of business tools most definitely is a double edged sword. Let this list be a friendly reminder that we were all put here on earth to contribute our unique, one of a kind gifts, not all of which can or even should be monetized. I realize we are all just doing our very best to adapt to this fascinating, fun new medium but I genuinely hope that wether you are an artist or not you create and build a life you can be proud of, one that belongs to you and you alone. Participate to the level that feeds not depletes you. Your productivity does not determine your worth. Because your story is too good, your contributions too vital, your relationships too important, your inherent human worth WAY TOO MAGNIFICENT to be quantified by any app. #loveandlipstick #rachelgoodwinmakeup
