The Metropolitan Museum @metcostumeinstitute has announced the theme for its 2019 Costume Institute blockbuster show and it is — drumroll please — "Camp: Notes on Fashion." Yup, inspired by the 1964 Susan Sontag essay. Take a moment to consider the red carpet possibilities! “We are going through an extreme camp moment. Whether it’s pop camp, high camp or political camp — Trump is a very Camp figure — I think it’s very timely.” said Andrew Bolton, curator in charge of the Met's Costume Institute, on its next big show.
