‘Uno più uno fa uno’ ? An exhibition about couples ✨ Dozens and dozens of intellectual exchanges that influenced the history of art now come forth in the exhibition ‘Modern Couples. Art, Intimacy and The Avant-garde’, held at the Barbican in London from October 10, 2018 to January 27, 2019. ✨ With letters and works used as cross-references, the exhibition sheds light on conventional or platonic bonds, real or ‘de facto’ couples, from the synergies between Picasso and Dora Maar to the chromatic revolutions of Robert and Sonia Delaunay, by way of the burning passion between Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera and the darkroom tests made by Man Ray and Lee Miller. ?
