I first learned how to play guitar in my childhood bedroom, and spent pretty much every day after school like this. My dad taught me the chords and scales, and bought me my first guitar, a sunburst Fender.

That first guitar represented so much to me, because learning new chords and writing songs quickly became my escape and the only thing I wanted to do.

I'm so excited to be partnering with @Fender Guitar, and can't wait to play this beauty onstage!

A lot of you guys have asked my advice about learning to play guitar over the years, and the Fender Play app is an awesome place to start as it's a complete digital learning app so you can learn on the go. I'm really looking forward to digging in and learning some new techniques, and I can't imagine how cool and helpful it would've been if this was around when I was in high school learning how to play.?
