This is John Bernard Martin. Better known as Bernie. Yesterday I lost a friend so close to me, I considered him family. My kids called him Uncle Bernie and sometimes Grandpa Bernie. Yesterday the world lost a true gentleman, the greatest of men. Bernie gave the best hugs, and sometimes his handshakes were so firm you would fear your hand would break. He blushed easily, loved coffee and pie from @bubbyspieco was a proud member of 817, could get the best table from @松久信幸 when I couldn’t even get a seat at the bar, and was a great connecter of people. I have so many dear friends because of my 20 plus years as Bernie’s friend. Today my heart is broken. I love you Bern and will miss you forever. This doesn’t seem real. #rip
