A film like this might be considered “timely,” but it’s more than that. Survivors of sexual abuse must live with long lasting trauma, and the road to healing isn’t easy. I am thankful for the courageous women who are coming forward, and speaking out for those who aren’t yet ready. Their stories support and pave the way for all of us. Eva Vives is one of these brave women. She is a survivor who shares her powerful story in All About Nina, starring my friend Mary Winstead. Together, they have organized free screenings for sexual abuse survivors this weekend. Like all survivors, this film deserves to be seen and heard.
I will also be moderating a Q&A with Eva at the Arclight Hollywood tomorrow Saturday after the 815pm screening. Hope you can make it out!
