One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned living with other people has been how to recognize what parts of their style are the most important (to them, not me) to be honored and celebrated at home. In reality we can’t all have 100% of exactly what we want, stylistically, at home because there are other points of views and needs to be addressed. But talking (and really listening) about what realty matters to someone else will help you figure out how to really create a home that feels balanced and welcoming to everyone inside.
