The Countess of Wessex, helped by 13-year-old Zion, who has ichthyosis, officially opened the new Rare Diseases Centre at St Thomas’ Hospital.

The new Centre is the first of its kind in the UK and provides a space to treat those with genetic and skin conditions, including ‘epidermolysis bullosa’ (EB). HRH is Patron of @charityDEBRA, who support those living with EB and who helped fund the new centre.
