Sazan Hendrixさんのインスタグラム写真 - (Sazan HendrixInstagram)「I have 4 of the most incredible siblings in life but my youngest brother Rejiar will always have a special place in my heart. 10 years ago we got the news on Christmas Eve that my perfect little brother had AML Leukemia. Our entire world was turned upside down. I remember my life for the next 3-4 months consisted of school, work, then straight to the hospital - everyday. I’ll never forget that time in our life and all of the families who were fighting a similar fight. It was a blessing we caught my brother’s cancer early and it was an even greater blessing that it did not spread beyond his bonemarrow (AML left untreated can be very aggressive). Shortly after several rounds of chemo and radiation - his bone marrow was cancer-free. Since his bone marrow took a nasty hit with all those toxic chemicals of chemo and radiation, they gave us the option to test each of my siblings and see if any one of us would match to essentially give him an entirely new/clean bone marrow slash immune system. I’ll never forget the call I received when the doctor said my results came back a 6/6 perfect BM match for Rejiar. My eyes water everytime I write that. It was and still is the best gift I’ll ever give someone I love in this life.. ❤️ He is almost 18 (senior in high school!) and he is healthy, happy and forever my hero. . My heart goes out to anyone who has been affected by cancer. I feel honored that today I’m heading to Memphis with @lancomeofficial to visit the children of St.Jude and be apart of the amazing cause Lancôme is doing.
