?honoured to be part of this photo series❤️ check out @hersound_herstory in cinemas around AUS now? @michelleghunder “4 years and 88 portraits later, I’ve decided to call this the end of the journey for @hersound_herstory photos, (at least for now). A few weeks ago I took this portrait of the incredible @コートニー・バーネット at my studio, which was a really lovely experience in itself, and I just had a overwhelmed sense of peace wash over me.
I could never do the entirety of the spectrum of amazing women in the music scene currently, but I feel like through this project with @claudiasangiorgidalimore of both photos and our documentary, we have managed to at least get a pretty solid representation of the amazing array of women making music.
I’m so pleased to announce that the National Sound and Film archive will be taking this photos series, as well as our documentary which makes me content beyond all belief that in 100 years time from now people will be able to look back over our work as artists, and see all these amazing women.

It was never just about portraits, this project was about making real change in an industry that I noticed was unbalanced. I hope at least the conversation will continue from here and I’m really proud of the movement Claudia and I have contributed too.... Thank you to each and every person who had supported us over this huge project. We will be showing an installation of the series at the @womeninmusicaus - hopefully catch a lot of you there.
