FEEL YOUR FUCKING FEELINGS. Just listened through and edited the podcast I recorded a little while ago with @awakenwithjp and we talk about the importance of being in your body and feeling what comes your way. It’s the single best way to be of service to the world - acknowledging your emotions and learning how to sit with them rather than react, escape or stir drama within and without. So. I’m feeling my fucking feelings and right now I’m uncomfortable as hell. I fly to Sweden today and I’m mega anxious, fearful and sad to leave husband and baby for 7 whole days. I feel stressed; I haven’t finished packing and I have a ton of work to do before I go. I feel torn because I want to just lie on the floor and play with baby and be present with her but I have to get all my stuff together so I won’t be in panic mode when it’s time to go to the airport. My back hurts in the first time in months - months! - and I know it’s 100% stress and anxiety over leaving, and probably built up tension from having taken on a lot and worked a little too much for a little too long without a break. So here I am. Feeling. It’s uncomfortable. I’d rather just ignore them and pretend that all is fine. But the funny thing is, the longer I sit here feeling, the more I’m fine with feeling not fine. If I dig deep, in the pit of my stomach there is also excitement. Nervousness, but the good kind. I’m going to be alone and a part of that is going to be beautiful. I get to move into silence. I get to see friends and family. I’m feeling my feelings and it’s difficult and lovely all at once. Will you feel your feelings with me? What’s moving through you, right now? Sit down.
