When a man who has sexually assaulted women who knows how many times in his life defends another rapist by asking a victim to show further proof (after trauma) that she in fact endured what she says she did, I feel a type of way. Especially when that fucking man pretends he is presidential. This is the most TOXIC administration I have ever experienced (maybe because I’m young and wasn’t as aware or present for the perpetual awfulness that is this country’s corruption). I’m sick to my stomach of discussing the topic of sexual assault and harassment like it is a figment of women’s imagination or is the fault of anything but an entitled, ego driven mind.
Every single woman I know, including myself, has been either assaulted, harassed, or made to feel smaller because of men sexualizing her existence. We are not blowup dolls walking around to fulfill your sick overworked imagination because of all of the fucked up porn you watch at night. This is not a fucking game or debate. The long term trauma that manifests after someone has ENTERED your BODY withOUT perMISSION is VALID, REAL, and PAINFUL. So while this is just a comment to all of the followers who get to see this (even though because it’s not a selfie and about trump the algorithm will burry it) I want to say my peace that both #Kavanaugh and this piece of shit #Trump are sexual predators with power. Is this common? Yes. Has this been going on for centuries? Yes. Is almost every single woman, man and folk in this country at risk when this is the standard person in power? ABSOLUTELY. Sexual assault psychologically affects a victim for longer than is fair,
To put them through further trauma of having to PROVE to you they were violated should be a punishable crime. Until we align our actions with what we claim are our morals I don’t want this country claiming they’re any type of religious or getting upset when a woman wants autonomy over her own body.
