So this was my night on Tuesday.... @reecenoi and I went to watch Ms Lauryn Hill's 20th Year Anniversary performance of #TheMiseducationofLaurynHill at the Hollywood Bowl with #DaveChappelle doing a set too. Anyone who knows me knows what a huge Lauryn Hill fan I am. Sister Act 2 has been watched countless times and so the fact I got to watch this performance with Sheryl Lee Ralph @diva3482 who played Lauryn's mum in it was just too much (and Dee in Moesha ???)... and she is simply FABULOUS!

The first concert I was allowed to go to unchaperoned (my big sister @loulouvictoria came but it wasn't a parent) was with my friend from school and it was The Fugees Reunion Tour at the Hammersmith Apollo. I was 15. Then at 23 I took my sister to watch Lauryn Hill again.... and at 29... I met the woman herself. I've never understood when people get emotional over someone they are a fan of... but now I do. This album meant so much to me in my formative years. I literally can place songs from it to specific moments in my life. All of these moments led me to this one. Stood with Lauryn Hill herself... and all I could feel was gratitude. After our interaction I was so overwhelmed with emotion I cried in a corner ??... Anyway... this might possibly be the best moment of my life.
