When I decided to get into more commercial work, projects like this are what I had in mind. It's the first thing I've directed that matched—even exceeded—my original vision. And most rewarding, it was like painting. What material is available to me? How does it want to move? And let it. The material in question was the most beautiful, impressive group of real people I've ever worked with. One of whom is my wife, @magnabing, someone that after 10 years I only now feel capable of expressing to others. The other is my partner at Summer House, Jake Farmer (@_jakefarmer)—who is the quiet force responsible for the way this project looks, feels, and sounds. All of these people gave me complete creative freedom, and the result is something that's theirs, not mine. What a lesson. It was a pleasure to make something true.
