When asked to describe what he saw the terrified and badly injured sole survivor of the missing and presumed sunken slave vessel gave rough details of how the sea came alive and had began violently eating the ship. Amidst the panic and chaos he remembers the ships chaplain standing on deck facing the horrible apparition holding a Bible and pleading repeatedly to it: “No Nos Arruines Dios dijo!!!” Which roughly translates into English as something like “Don’t Ruin Us! God Said!” Moments later a long, heavy chain shot from the mouth of the terrifying apparition. It wrapped around the despairing chaplains throat and violently yanked him off the deck into its watery mouth. He claimed he doesn’t recall anything more after that. .
