What an incredible day of victory for songwriters!! The #musicmodernizationact passed the senate today and for the first time in over 100 years we might get to change the laws on how songwriters get paid. It would be crazy for someone in any other industry to be paid the same amount as 100 years ago. Let alone before records, CDs, tapes, and streaming existed. So so excited that songwriters might actually get to keep doing this as a job in the future! Thank you @rossgolan and @disraelite and @wearesonala for rounding up and educating so many of us on this issue!
